What to Wear
The Dublin City Cycle might be big relaxing affair on a Sunday afternoon, but even so, that's no reason to let your style standards slip.
You should check your bike every day. Give it a bounce or shake to make sure nothing is loose or rattles. Then check the most important parts more carefully as we describe below.
The Basics
As a fashionista and veteran pedal pusher, the one thing I've learnt is that when you're on the road, practicality is king. So think utilitarian chic. Think fuss-free detailing. And raid your wardrobe for that effortlessly comfortable casual wear. Basically, if it feels good, wear it. And steer clear of lycra. Eeek!

Advanced Dressing
There's no rule that says being on a bike means dressing down. Far from it! You hardly ever get the opportunity to rummage in the dressing up box and get a bit silly, so I say seize the chance. And if you want to match your style to the theme at your hub, go for it! .

Groups and Families: Key Trends
If you're going to The Dublin City Cycle as a group, co-ordinated
outfits can be a simple, practical style-solution keeping track
of each other in the crowd. But forget the Moss Posse and their
'it' bags. If you want an easy way to spot your nearest and dearest
I'd suggest matching hats - perhaps even pointy ones. And if you
really want to get noticed, helium balloons and flags will do
the trick.

Wet Weather
Mac in a Sack, Kag in a Bag, Jack in a Pack - you get the idea. But frankly, as long as it keeps the rain off anything goes. So don't be afraid to don the trusty bin liner if needs be.

Hot Weather
Being all hot and sweaty is sooo last month. Well, early May to be precise. So if the sun's out, make sure you're prepared to keep cool. Layering is tipped to be a major trend for this weather, with hats and sunglasses also likely to make an appearance.
So there you have it - now start planning your outfit! See you there looking fabulous!
