Spend a day with your bike

The Dublin City Cycle will start from the beautiful wide Georgian streetscape of Merrion Square South and then proceed through the city streets passing many well-known landmarks and many of the treasures and pleasures of Dublin's fair city. This event is a leisurely cycle not a race and will take place over closed roads. The Garda Siochana will be marshalling the cycle and the roads will reopen at 11.30am. It is expected that it will take approximately one hour to complete the circuit and the cycle will finish back at Merrion Square.
Cycling enthusiasts and all those interested in this free event can register free of charge. Organisers advise cyclists to arrive at least sixty minutes prior to the event. The ride over gentle easy roadways and cycle paths and is suitable for children and adults alike.

Concern is the associated charity for the Dublin City cycle and all the money donated to Concern will go towards its programmes in Ethiopia. Concern is trying to help thousands of children and their families by providing urgently-needed food and healthcare.

So dig out those bikes, grab the family and spend a Sunday morning in a traffic free Dublin City Centre.

It’s a 8KM cycle from Merrion Square South to College Green, and there wont be a car on the road for the duration.

The Dublin City Cycle is free to register and attend. Last year, over 5,000 bikes descended on the city's streets, and this year's event promises to be bigger and better still!
